Makita 3707F Laminate trimmer. Problem

Hi Gents.

ive just bought one of these after reading some good reviews.

Its describes it as having "easy and precise height adjustment" with the rubber roller.

I dont know if i'm missing something obvious, but i'd say its quite difficult to use.

The body slides into the base and is a snug fit even before you clamp it tight. The adjustment is jerky and anything but precise.

Anyone got any ideas.

Just had a quick look at the router in question. I was working with a guy earlier who used one and the adjustment seemed easy enough. So i'm wondering if the clamp needs adjusting? So you get a good grip on the body but still allow easy movement with the roller?

A closer look and it was burr on the inside. All sorted.
