I made one some years ago, but it worked From the rear of the guide. As I have quite a lot of identical cuts to make I find it easier to have the guide in front of the cut and just keep moving the track back to the set stops.
Not a new idea I know, it may be that makita make a guide, but this was free from scraps. It was just as easy to make two, and have one at both ends of the track, save rechecking each end.
