Lubrication of a drill press ?

I just acquired a Meddings DP ( gloat £42) which as far as I can tell was made in the late 1950's. Its in good nick, bearings sound fine, little rust and after a good cleaning it has come up looking OK.

BUT, is there any routine to be followed for lubrication of this DP. Anyone know?

Best thing to do is phone http://www.meddings.co.uk/ with the serial no of the machine. No doubt they will be able to help.

I tried to get some info on my early one from them - they are very friendly but the early stuff was not on their computer and they couldn't help?

Worth giving them a try though just in case?

Yes, give them a call. Within about 30 seconds they could tell me that mine was a 1963 model, henceforth known as Lulu.
