loose blum type hinges

I need to repair a heay mirrored door thats pulling the hinges out and remember seeing some mending plates that fit over the hinge and are drilled into the carcass but cant remember where. Iv'e already tried an internet search and been in touch with Isaac Lord but to no avail. Did I dream this up? If so I hereby submit my patent!

Any ideas?
