last one in the series......for the moiment

This is the last one I will do for a while, until after the Oak Fair at least LOL. This is monkey puzzle and is 200mm diameter, 130mm tall and has a couple of little holes filled with brass. The finial is brass rod, 90mm long and the collar and plug are purple heart. The base is a double oak burr that has been cleaned and burnished. In taking the photos I realised the finial is at the wrong angle and needs to be reset so no need to comment on that in your welcome critiques LOL

Now this is nice OK Great I like the idea of the natural base then going to the turned piece of monkey puzzle ending up with man made brass at the top.
When you say the finial is at the wrong angle do you mean that it is not even if so I prefer the way it is

I like it very much as it is, just love the natural base have to copy that one day.

It was set too flat, needs to be more of an angle. Maybe getting fussy but I am slowly learning that it is worth fussing over the small details, they can make a lot of difference.

That is beautiful. The monkey puzzle looks like it grew from the oak base.
As has been said, something for noobs like me to aspire to.
