Well spotted, Alf. Here's a picture of one

The nickers fit on the end of the main body and sliding section and, I believe, adjust up and down, so they are quite different from the usual type of nickers. I seem to remember that when this plane was introduced some commentators said that the nickers felt a bit awkward because they started cutting before the skates had any significant contact with the work, so they took some getting used to. However, I've never used one so can't speak from personal experience.

Nice picture. :wink: I find these a big advantage because they are adjustable, but you do need to use a longer stroke to get them cutting.
