Iroko - colour difference

Hi,
I am an amateur and just started new project with iroko.
Here are 3 planks
2 on the left have darker faces and 1 on the right is brighter.
The darker one is also heavier then the left one.
I guess discoloration is due to sun/air?
What about the weight?
If I will finish it with oil will it equalize with colour over time? It will be outdoors.

Iroko darkens really quickly, I made my kitchen island top from iroko and was amazed how quickly it turned from yellow to dark brown.

My mother's (large) house had iroko floors, stairs, banisters, spindles, skirtings, windows and external doors - I don't recall anything standing out as being a different colour.
