I looked at his site years ago and have revisited a few times since. Dom, you may be interested to know that the guy has just started posting in the EZ forum over on sawmillcreek.

He actually makes a big thing about the safety aspect - his website used to talk of the 50,000 tablesaw accidents a year which occur in the US. It seems to me that kickback is one area to which he pays a lot of attention, although it seems to be by reducing the ability of the wood to move back, rather than by preventing it binding in the first place. The fence is still full length.

He seems to pay scant regard to the blade, though, as he still uses it unguarded. Some of his youtube videos are real scary - tablesaw on the floor, leaning over it, weight balanced on his fingers which are millimetres from the unguarded blade. It's a wonder he still has all his fingers.
