I can't find any link between David Roentgen and the guillotine, which was invented a few hundred years before the birth of the cabinetmaker.

At the very least the user should wear personal protection equipment!

Great video, I seem to recall some articles in F&C about the restoration of that piece, but it's amazing to see it in action.
