I don`t know where you get these from,DW, you must have too much time on your hands. But, who cares, keep them coming and thank you.

Very nice, although I prefer dancing 'in hold', my particular favourite is dancing the slow foxtrot, followed by waltz, then rumba and quickstep. Any of you guys that haven't tried ballroom dancing, I can thoroughly recommend it as being great exercise, very enjoyable and a good way to meet new friends. You may very well impress the wife into the bargain.

Agreed, as long as you include some Old Tyme & Modern Sequence.

I didn't realise so many people found Strictly Come Dancing distasteful as shown in the TV Programmes thread
- tv-programmes-others-raved-about-or-everyone-seems-to-have-t65771.html

Bring back 'Come Dancing' I say with the cameramen instructed to compose the view so that we can see the footwork as well as the body lines. :)

I think I had over 42 emails in yesterday, seems I still have a few friends left from all over the world and many of my postings like above came into me as an attachment.

Some are also my own musings.

Thanks Woody.
I have to confess; I have seen all of those films!

It never ceases to amaze me how Astaire could jig around like he did, yet for certain moves, his upper body stayed stock-still.
Think it had something to do with the 'Alexander' Technique, and deportment. Heck, he sure could dance.
Keep 'em coming Woody!

I never watch 'Strictly' these days Rob. Just can't get to grips with the so-called 'dance' music they have to perform to.
Give me Joe Loss and Ted heath et al, any day, for dancing.

Trouble was when they played in Brum, you couldn't dance properly because the dancers would all congregate around the stage, just to stand and listen! Those was them days!

(I do like Strictly really. It's just the perishing music, and Brucie-Wucie I can't stand. :? ) Mind you, that doesn't leave a lot does it?

:D
