How to turn with coloured Resin?

So I've been looking for instructions of how to work with resin, I've got some wonderful blanks with chunks missing or splits that would look wonderful with a cloured resin filling such holes but:

I can't find much on the net on how to or what resin to get or where from.

These are the sort of things I'd love to be turning eventually:

Treat the same as wood on the whole. There is a couple of thing that you need to be aware of is resin can be very stringy when it comes off the tool and sticks to everything, and some may be a bit brittle so don't rush in take gentle cuts until you get the feel of it.

I use the resin bought in car shops for adding to glassfibre,then add spirit stain or other dye to it,once set i turn it as normal for bowl/spindle turning,the only thing I`ve found is to be careful when sanding as the resin is harder that the wood mostly,cheers,

It is expensive but custom made for turning. To be honest, you can replace it with commercial resin/hardener mixes, but the site gives you some ideas about what is possible.

I've used epoxy resin to good effect in the past. This one from Axminster works quite well but get the 30 minute stuff, not the 5 minute unless you work fast! If you want larger quantities, the West system epoxy is good stuff.
