I've ordered the bearings for the bandsaw, so thought I'd better get the old ones out. I don't possess an internal puller, so had to use a little ingenuity - anything to save a few quid.
I though if I got a little bit of scrap the right length it would drop in though one side and span the inside of the bearing on the other. A dollop of hot melt to stop it moving, a small MAPP torch on the outside of the wheel and it knocked out with a dowel. The other side was heated and a larger dowel used to knock that one through. Repeated for the other wheel. I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.
