Hello,
how old is this brass bac ksaw from Tysack & Turner?
The owner told me it is model no 3319, 10" with Elephant logo and makers name on blade.
I did not found any info about this model in the INet - propably a false model no?
best regards,

Yes......... I'd agree with that.

I have three of theirs from that period (1970s onward) and one from the 1890s.

The very old one has a beautifully shaped grip, but the design of the handles went through a period of 'rationalisation' in the '60s, however, there's a quality bit of steel in the plate.

Those Nonpareil Elephant Brand saws use and cut very well in my opinion.

All best
