help!!french polish too orange how to get darker brown

I've done 2 coats of sanding sealer folowed by 2 coats of french polish. Its turned into an essex tan orange Any idea how to get it darker. More like a black walnut colour?

No idea, it's not my feld, but I think you might get a better response in the Finishing forum rather than Jigs. Someone there will probably have the answer.
