Help...... Black and Decker Firestorm Driver

Hi Guys

Bought this from a car boot sale a while back and has worked a treat but having big issues removing the battery, no matter how I try it won't pop out? Am I doing something wrong?

Also unable to remove the slotted driver bit...... Grrrrrrrrrrrr; please help!!

Looks like the stihl chainsaw my nephews have - great sound effects, but the bathplug chain wont cut a thing
