Martin I had one in the early days,it eventually cracked across where is bent over.When I got in touch with Hegner it had been replaced with the Quick Clamp.
I had the same set up with my first Hegner way back in 1987. Therewere no quick clamps then and no front tension but even so and at the time I thought it was quite quick changing blades and also doing pierced work.
