Had a bit of a spend

So I got a VAT free voucher from machine mart.

I bought myself a pillar drill, bench grinder with whetstone and a belt / disc combo bench mounted sander.

I know Clarke stuff doesn't exactly get good reviews but I figure they will all be ok for my needs. Had a quick go with all of them and been pretty impressed by all of them.

So hopefully they'll be ok.

I have a clarke 4 1/2" metal cutting bandsaw for 10-15 years. not worked daily but does a reasonable job, you might want to fine tune it here and there. would buy another if I needed it ( or more likely a bigger one). So cheap and cheerful but does the job.

I figure that pillar drill and sander can't go far wrong. It's not like a table saw that demands accuracy.
