Ok im making a gymnastic bar (hammer) an here is what ive bought:
(ideally would like to build it indoors but a reakon to complicated)

2 metpost in which will hold 75mm x75mm x1.8m wooden fence posts.
For the bar,im using a (1.8M x 40mm Dia) tree pole.

Can anyone help with regards to making it fit through the posts and what measurements /distance apart i use or if theres other techniques to use for attaching the pole to them.
Only have a 32mm flat drill bit which was the biggest one they sold in BQ.
I know.... take it back its the wrong tool for the job #-o

To drill a 40mm hole a forstner or sawtooth bit is probably your best bet.

I'm not sure the metposts will give you enough support for the posts for what you have in mind. You might need some form of diagonal bracing to make everything more solid.

A tree pole won't be strong enought to swing on. They are normally laminated from many thin layers glued together.

Don't fall!

3 bits of galvanised steel tube, and a couple of key clamp elbows, job done. Probably be cheaper too.
