I turned these for a friend, although the exchange has saved me around £80! Good deal if you ask me!

They're in Delrin, and had to be pretty accurate diameters.
I was very proud that each of these was within 0.05mm.
The smallest has a 'stem' of 13mm, the largest 17mm.

But what are they?

An engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability. It is commonly known under DuPont's trade name Delrin. So with that sort of shape they are probably some kind of end bushing?

Mind you they have a low melting point, low impact strength and a very high thermal expansion so they ain't used on any high speed rotating equipment?

Bump stops for very well fitting doors

Oh close, but not quite!

The answer isn't rude either before i get any such suggestions.

Well if it's not Ear then my guess is either Cheek or Tongue.

They are referred to as labrets, or lip plugs/plates, and are worn like this....

Or when they get really big like this!

This set was made to stretch up gradually, and each has a concave back in an oval shape to a max diameter of 20mm, so it fits around the gums.

So anyone else want a set making?
