google problem

I had a message keep coming up from google, something about a privacy statement iirc that I had to read. When I clicked on it all I got was a blank panel. I didn't pay it much attention until it said it must be read today. It still gave me the blank panel. Now I can't google anything - the blank panel keeps coming up. I can't google to find out what's wrong with google - any ideas? :?

Thanks, that was obvious really, but I don't think computer. I've just cleared the cookies and browsing history ( I do this every few days anyway) and it seems ok for the mo. I can't find any reference to the problem, the queries all seem to refer to downloads and I wasn't trying to download only search. I'll just wait for it to happen again.

I don't think that's relevant (even with my little understanding of these things ). I'm running Privacy Badger, AdBlock, download nothing and I have nothing other than a few emails and half a dozen photos stored. I google the odd thing, use Sky Email, YouTube, UKWorkshop, read The Times and that's it. I t was odd - I was just getting the screen dimming, a white panel in the middle, the little revolving circle (there probably is a name for it) that made it appear that something was happening - until it timed out. It's OK atm, I'll see if it ties in with anything else if it happens again. Everytime I attempt to learn anything whatsoever about computers the paragraph I start to read turns to Arabic script in a femtosecond.

The screen dimming and spinner indicates that a popup popped up and was attempting to render the screen, the timeout was because the server to which it was attempting to connect didn't respond. What page where you on immediately prior to this happening ? Your click on the link initiated this.

hey this happened to me the last 3 days its just a general terms and conditions BS that u have to agree to if u want to use google and that they record ur searches to improve ur experience etc etc... I agreed to it today because it had to be agreed to by today to use it. Not sure why us isn't loading but its not a virus and its not anything to download.

Maybe a totally unrelated internet or (if you were on wifi) wifi glitch.

Yes, using wifi. It's been ok since I cleared the cookies and browsing history.
