Hi

I am a self employed carpenter & joiner I mainly make doors windows wardrobes fit kitchens etc, I have been working for myself for the past two years and have been reasonably busy unfortunately things have been a bit slow recently . Has anyone any tips to help get more work or is everyone experiencing a slowdown at this time of year?

Cheers

Hi
I think I have seen in the Stevenage B and Q that they may be looking for kitcen fitters, Maybe worth a trip over, Roystons not that far.

Cheers

I've noticed the slow down too. Lots of people in financial difficulty over Christmas, most of the civil service scared for their jobs or waiting to see what happens, uncertain atmosphere for the future, all adds up to people not being willing to put hand in pocket as much.
Seems to be picking up now that February's pay packet is in though.
