Hello I am a retired Carpenter and have just acquired a Kity 535 planer, I would be grateful if anyone can help me locate a manual for this machine.....James

Hello, and welcome. I am fairly new here myself!.
I have a 535 planer 6"x 4"with yellow guarding is that the same as yours?
There are a couple of members on here who can probably help you on that manual.

pm him your normal email address and once normal email communications have been established, send it as an attachment. or use something like dropbox

Try a company named NMA Agencies. They are the UK distributor for Kity Machines, and Scheppach also. They should have a manual they can email you in .pdf format. Might be useful if you need any spare parts too.
