I have 3 bags of cement leave over from the garden project. Can i use this as a wet mix for a floor leveller. I don't want to pay out for a latex compound and the wickes floor levelling is just sand, cement and a type of PVA additive.

I've been told i can use cement, PVA wood glue and a bit of building sand for the same affect, anyone tried this. I plan on painting after so don't care if it cracks in places.

Thanks, LyNx

I would suggest probably not to be honest. The latex compounds are designed to resist cracking and to self level in a thin layer. I think you will find cement mix simply cracks all the way through then chips up from the floor. Given that cement is only 3-4 quid a bag I would be inclined to ditch it and use the proper stuff. Just my 2 cents worth....
