Forstner bits

I am after a set of forstner bits, in imperial sizes.

Has anybody got any experience of either

I have a complete set :mrgreen: of these Famag forstner bits and Matt is quite right...they're not the cheapest, but compared to the el cheapo Axminster set that I'd been using previously (what used to bind, so I could never use a bit greater than about 25mm..and that was pushing it) these are like night and day. Fantastic - Rob

I have a few of these, including one that's 3-1/2". You'll get what you pay for. Of course, you'll pay for what you get, too.

I have a set by Record that have been pretty good.

Claimed to be only £30 for Christmas.

From my experience they work better than Axminster and Planet's cheap Forstners.

The larger sizes have hex shanks which are much better than plain round IMHO.
