Flickering screens in SeaMonkey

Morning all

I recently updated to SM 2.3.3 and I use XP SP3.

I have the program set up so that a mouse wheel click will open a link in a new tab.

In ver 2.3.3 the new tab flickers and/or refreshes a few times as it opens.

The same thing happens if I open a new tab via the pull down menu from a right click.

This didn't happen in the previous version.

Any suggestions why this is happening and how I can stop it?

PS I've tried th Seamonkey help forum, but am having problems at the moment with registering

Seamonkey support is via usenet. There is no concept of registration with usenet it is immediately available to all via Mozilla.support.seamonkey
