Had to pop down to the Dansel Gallery in Abbotsbury to drop off a few more pieces (well worth a visit for all things beautiful in wood) here are three of them.

All three are great Pete. On the second one it looks like the finial could be reversed but having said that the base of the longer one looks just that bit too large to fit in the hole.
 
Very nice, I really like the Apple and Walnut, it not only looks good, it sounds good too!
 
Thank you both. Apple and walnut is good Kim, best eaten though as it tends to fall apart when turned LOL.
The pewter disc on the base of the finial is textured as well though it doesn't show in the photo. Didn't think of seeing if it would go in reversed, suspect the diameter is too big though as you say Dalboy.
