Festool Router Collets

Hi

Is it necessary to buy Festool original when buying replacement collets ?

I need to replace my Festool 494465 SZ-D 12,7/OF 1400/2200 Collet

I think for piece of mind, your best of buying the collet the manufacture intended. You wouldn't want anything coming loose or causing damage via a poor fit the the router. Shame its so expensive. Might be worth getting in touch with tom @ www.intelligentworkshop.co.uk see if he can supply just the collet without the nut a bit cheaper.
