I was using my old Fein multimaster (the one that takes the bosch 10mm accessories) on Sunday to remove cement grout when there was a loud bang and a couple of flashes from the motor (which kept going!).
I took the casing off to find that the capacitor/supressor had exploded. A call to powertoolsspares on Tuesday afternoon and a replacement capacitor and a set of new brushes were mine for £22. They arrived today and I can now complete the job.
I just thought that good service deserved a mention, and the firm seem to cater for virtually every branded tool - so as their web site says, 'repairing a tool is recycling a tool' (and saved me buying a replacement!).
