Excellent Blanks Haul from Berkshire Woodturners Association

My woodturning club had their annual fund raising auction yesterday. The auction is in two parts, wood and tools. I just wanted to publicly thank the organisers of the Berkshire Woodturners Association for what turned out to be a fabulous trailer full of some stunning woods. I filled my estate car boot with walnut, laburnum, yew and Mimosa (never turned it before but it looks lovely) for a very modest sum indeed. What a tremendous night for both the club funds and the members personal wood stocks

I really would encourage any of you relatively recent turners to join a club local to you as they are a fabulous resource for knowledge, skill development and decent quality materials and tools at bargain prices. (To say nothing of the camaraderie)

The take from the auction was £400, £200 from the wood and £200 from the tools.
