Anybody got good or bad stories about this one? i am about to give up getting a big saw from the UK. This one has come up reasonable local, but I know nothing.....

I’ve had one for about 15 years with no problems. It’s a fairly basic machine but with the sliding table and attachments and a couple of home made jigs (cross cut & mitre) it’s been fine for me and was my main saw for several years before I invested in a bandsaw. Like all saws, the better blade you get the better the saw and I have separate rip and crosscut blades which are very easy to change. The shape of the plate around the blade makes it difficult to make a zero tolerance insert so I tend not to cut very thin pieces. Dust extraction isn’t brilliant but again it is essentially budget saw.
So in summary, as I am essentially a box maker along with some other small pieces of furniture it is absolutely fine for me and I have to no plans to upgrade it.

I'm assuming the "200" is the blade diameter?

What depth of wood will it cut please?
And if that is blade diameter, is it possible to fit larger blades?

Yes to the blade, as to the rest I’m just waiting for the workshop to warm up so I’ll have a look at the manual and have a measure up as to whether you could unofficially fit a larger blade.

Dont worry thanks. I've had a closer look and its old and there is no fence and he still wants £360 for it.
I'll pass.

Ok, but out of interest if one comes up again: -
The manual says maximum blade 210mm, depth of cut at 90° 65mm & at 45° 45mm.
The max depth is optimistic as ios to the very edge of the blade, depth to gullet is 55mm.
You can't get any bigger blade in as it will catch the blade casing and riving knife holder.
£360 does seem way over the top, especially without a fence.
