Dust extraction

I bought this a few weeks ago to fit in my 5x3 metre shed but not fitted it yet...

Today I won one of these on ebay built up but unused about half price ....

My question is do I need both?

One is a chip & dust collector hooked up to your machines, the other is an independant filter that can just sit on a shelf. Personally I'd use the filter when creating abnormal amounts of dust away from the extraction system.

Yes use them both, the jet will get a lot more of the airborne dust. Normally they are used for a bit after you have left the shop to get the dust as it is settling
