Dry Oak.

I have 4 Oak dining chairs, the wood is very dry and has minor cracking. Any advice on what type of finish would revive dry Oak, would be much appreciated.

I would suggest a wax such as Fiddes Supreme.

Probably some oil, such as Linseed or Danish, etc.

A mineral oil would work fine. Coat it, let it soak in for a couple of hours, then repeat several times, when it stops being absorbed, then buff off when dry.
