I wonder if you experienced cabinet/drawer fitters, could have a quick squatch at this drawer slide jig by Rockler.

It's an American made jig as I couldn't find a UK jig with UK reviews.

I have avoided installing sliding drawer runners for years, as I absolutely hate fitting them with a passion. They are designed to aid marriage break ups, or time in HM prisons.

I was reading an historic WIP post by Waka (sorry if I have that name wrong). An amazing tool cabinet that I really enjoyed watching him build. He used a drawer slide jig by Kreg - unfortunately I can't seem to find it on-line.

So I found the aforementioned jig by Rockler.

I take it, a runner is a runner, and the jig is not 'calibrated' or set up just to take US sized runners (sorry if I'm being really stupid here!).

Your advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I recently used a slight variation of this guy's technique - very easy, very accurate and no jig needed, just a few bits of hardboard or similar.

I too was vary of installing these beasts until i saw that video and realised how much more simply it could be done than in the instructions that come with the runners :)

I like that! Might have to develop some templates for different size gaps. I'm intending on making a sysport so I won't actually have sides of draws to use but will want to cope with different height systainers
