Hi all
I'm new to this forum so apologies if i have mis-placed this post!
I am building a horizontal wall mounted cabinet and came across an old one in my dads garage. It has two horizontal doorshinged on the top side and the bottom side. There is a clever opening / support system which uses the weight of the bottom door when opened to open the top door. I can only describe it as a clamshell arrangement.
I have taken photos to post but presumably because i am new i am not able to post them.
My question is what is the technical term for the opener device as i have googled all sorts but cant find anything remotely similar. I would describe it as a reciprocating opener. This configuration would suit my project perfectly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I can email a photo if it helps?
Many thanks
