DIY Air Filter

Hs anyone attempted making their own air filter.
I would be interested in details/design etc., thinkng of using standard available filters combine with either mains fans or 12V radiator fans ex radiator type. My workshop is 11' x 9' approx. so space is at a premium. Thinking of suspending it from the apex in the roof. :?: :?: :?:

Yes. I did post up a thread about it but the images have gone AWOL. Used a large fan and the axminster filters.
