Disc / Belt Sander or this?

Hi guys, I am after a bit of advice.

I am considering spending my hard earned on a bench sander, I was all set on a Disc / Belt sander - especially the Clarke CS48 after Geoffs review on here.

I know that Rutlands has a bad name on here, but does anyone have any experience of this machine or the Rigid version that appears popular in the States?

Would it be better or more use than a Disc / Belt sander?

a few people have bought these- i remember a flurry of posts a few weeks ago.

it will depend greatly on what you plan to use it for- the belt and disc sander and this excel at different tasks.

if you are considering the machine mart one, register with them online, and they do a VAT free day once in a while, so will keep more of your hard earned in your sky rocket, if you do go that way.
