Delta 785 Bandsaw

Just picked up this old bandsaw cheap, but it needs a new guide for the blade that sits in the table. Not sure if I've phrased that right, but the current aluminium guide is really chewed up!

I assume I'd need to get it made. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

is this what you mean, they go above and below the table

The insert in the table does not guide anything and can be made from anything of the right thickness

Thanks. It's the small insert in the table. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow. If it can be made of anything, then I guess I'll just have a go and make something from a bit of plywood. You'll have to excuse my ignorance, just getting started with woodwork!

the original ones are probably plastic and do get damaged. I have an aluminium one in my bandsaw, made by the last owner as an upgrade.

Do you have a lathe- they are a few minutes work for a turner, but probably a whole lot more difficult without.

Also measure the hole- there is probably a replacement for another saw that will fit.
