I know this sounds naive but i have prices for timber 125mm wide by 32mm thick and 1000mm long for £8 and I am wanting to convert this to the price Metre cubed.

Can anyone help with a formulae to put in to Excel.

I hate it when suppliers swap and change between prices per board and metre cubed prices.

Thanks yet again

Mark

I make it £2000 a cubic meter.

in Centimetres

12.5 X 3.2 X 100 = 4000

100 cubed is 1 000 000

1 000000 / 4000 is 250

250 lengths to cubic meter

250 X £8 is £2000

dont know how to make it into an excel formula though.

Thats what I made it

try
1 / (ZxYxZ) x cost

1/(.125 x .032 x 1.00) x8

1 / 0.004 x 8

250x8

£2000

Either way its V expensive
