The plane was bought from new from Classic Handtolls a few years ago but has had very little use and is unlikely to get much more given the limitations on the size of timber I can process in my workshop.
As mentioned, the plane has been used and there are some minor small scratches on the sides.
All of the scratches are minor, the most obvious ones are on the right hand side when the I used the plane for shooting (before getting a purpose shooting plane).
The sole is in excellant condtion with only minor marks.
As with a lot of Cliftons, the chip breaker is the 2 piece variety which means you can sharpen / hone the blade without removing the whole plate.
The cheapest new price I have been able to find is £342 (Classic Hand tools), Workshop Heaven is more expensive.
I'm now looking for £175 inc postage / carriage.
Alternatively it can be collectd form B75 (Sutton Coldfield).
