I've been looking at clamp guides on Rutland and Axminster websites. I've also looked at the ones from Trend.

There seems to be a great range of prices? Any recommendations or avoids?

I have both Trend and Axminster ProGrip clamp guides and both are ok. On balance I prefer the ProGrip...I think it grips slightly better and was definitely cheaper than the Trend. The ProGrip also has two T-slots on the top surface which you can use to attach stops for use with a CS or router (or like me, on the drill press table).
