Hi, Chaps

I just bought a lathe its a Nordstrom MCS 500 and I am trying to get my chuck mounted but I need an adaptor form M18 x x2.5 to 3/4" 16tpi or 1"8tpt.
I have put a request on the metalworking section for someone to make one, but do you know where I could buy a ready made one?

Pete

In case interested folk don't read the metalworking bit of the forum, it might be worth repeating comment from there. Possibly better to consider getting an entire new spindle machined up, with the 3/4x16 thread, rather than an adaptor. Two reasons for this:-
1. it would actually be a much simpler machining job between centres, with no need for potentially inaccurate re-chucking.
2. The end result would have no additional overhang, so would not put excess strain on the bearings as would be the case with the adaptor.

Might be worth following the thread elsewhere in the lathes forum where someone is asking about getting a new spindle machined for a Jubilee?
