Yes, I agree with you Barry, definately NOT ticks. We have two dogs & lots of forrest & shrub around us so I've learned a bit about ticks also I'm the one in our house who has to deal with them :cry:

I'm not familiar with the little pippers. One time I got some ash log's which had been cut a while, they were large about 12-14 inch diameter and pinkish rather than creamy white. When I was riving them open there was a little colony of tiny bloodworm type things in the ends :shock: That wood was actually pretty bad it was spalted in part and was a bit brittle. Other than that I aint never seen no wildlife in my wood :lol:
