Have a American Cherry bowl that i'm finishing, never turned anything in Cherry before

I currently has no finish applied, i've been trawling the forums for the best finish, but am more confused than when I started.

I have at my disposal, Shellac sanding sealer, a really old bottle of Shellac, Briwax Clear, Rustins Danish oil, Colouron exterior Hardwood oil.

From my reading I guess its either sanding sealer and wax or Danish Oil on its own, but which one is more likely to lift the colour and give me a glossy finish ?

Personally I think I would go with several coats of the danish oil, possibly with some wax after if you wanted more shine. It's a personal thing thing though to some extent.

Cheers, Paul
