Hi guys,

My son wants to buy his girlfriend something woodworking for Christmas, as she is only young she has no other equipment and funds are low.

I suggested he might try a scroll saw as you can use it without buying a shed load of other equipment to use it.

We are not in hegner territory here, was looking to spend about £70.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,

Garry

I have a SIP 01373, which I bought second-hand. It works very well for the £45 I paid for it, though changing pinless blades and getting the tension right is bit of a pain...

Hi kdampney,

I got one from martinka, hes a bit closer. Cheers for the offer though.

Now we will have a scroll saw in the family I can borrow :)

Does anyone know where we can download patterns for free? especially 3d ones like the reindeer one.
