Anyone know of any. Tried to go to the academy car boot sale today and there wasn't one.

EDIT: to expand on this. Being that I'm new to UK. Is there a penultimate car boot sale that all tool junkies need to attend.

Don't know of any car boots to end all car boots but if you want tools David Stanley auctions are the place to go.

I attended the last international one and spent more than planned and didn't buy a thing from the auction. Lots of stalls with plenty of bargains to be found. Even met Bill Carter, spotted David Barron and best of all had a nice chat with Richard T.

Yeah - the dealer tables at the big auctions are wondrous! What's rare to most is common to them, with prices to match.

You'll do much better for bargains at non-specialist smaller car-boots. I've found sellers with tables full only of tools are invariable pricey.

The best buys I've had are typically from a stall with piles of baby clothes and general tat stuff - with a few old tools thrown on the ground.

Thats great info. Is it only the international auction days where there are tables set up of various sellers, or do the sellers also gather at the general auctions?
