I have just been given a Kity Bestcombi 2000 machine centre (planer/table saw/spindle moulder). It is several years old and the condition is mint. However, It is missing some accessories which I would like to get hold of to get the best out of the machine. I know Kity are no longer trading but I am hoping that some members here might know of any sources for Kity parts. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I doubt that there are many unused Kity accessories sitting on shelves - which is why prices of some original spare parts are pretty high.
NMA will advise you if current Scheppach parts will fit your Kity.
You may find that certain parts from Axminster machines are compatible too.
Probois are a good resource.

As the earlier poster suggested, if you list what you are looking for it may help people make suggestions.

Thanks for your help -
The drive belt on the thicknessing rollers is missing as is the retaining cap and screw from the spindle moulder.
The rollers are also a bit tight but I need to further investigate this.

Just a suggestion; the belt should be ok if you get the reference numbers off one - they're generally a standard part, got the dimensions for the cap/screw or a photo?

I have a bestcombi I can check the belt and bolt and do a sketch of the cap won’t be until the weekend.
Do you have the spindle collars including the one with the locating pin?
I have a pdf of the manual pm me your email and I will send it to you.

Just had a look through the PDF it says 630x8mm for the planer feed belt.

If yours is the old Bestcombi Pete it's a very different machine to the Bestcombi 2000.
The original Bestcombi was just a K5 with a larger moulder spindle ( 30mm ) and a paint job so it's unlikely the belt size is the same.

Is it toothed, v or flat - you can tell from the pulleys. Once you have that, if the manufacturer can't help, buy one from a specialist online and give it a shot.

I notice that the vids on youtube seem to be mostly French but one might give you an idea of how it all goes together.

If it is a "poly-V" style, there are standards for the cross section of the belt in various sizes. I was looking this up a few months ago and found lots of information on the web. A few measurements will probably confirm that it's a standard profile and help you have a sensible conversation with a drive belt stockist as suggested. Whatever type it is, be reassured that belts in a huge range of types and sizes are commodity industrial products, once identified, I don't think it will be hard to get something that fits.

Another tip - if you google for images of "ancien kity" you'll pick up images from the French websites. It may help in the search.
