I am going to be embarking on a custom laundry room project shortly where there will be a bunch of fairly specific cabinets that will house (hide) a water softener, a sceptic tank soak-away pump, a bunch of pipes, a CCTV security system and then general storage for my laundry room.
I was planning to use MR MDF for this and will be painting it most likely a fairly light colour. With it being MDF, would you recommend adding a hardwood strip to the outside front edges of shelves, bottom of the cabinets, even doors and the like? Or is that not necessary?
My cabinetry to date has been mainly with plywood which i have added edge banding to hence the question.
Thanks in advance.
