Just fitted this morning, thought I would share. Birds eye maple veneer on solid maple top. The brackets are solid maple with wenge and the finish is Danish oil

It does lift off, but only because of the type of fixing. Its permanent.

OK, I reckon those legs could be made to slide into sockets which could hold the top and then turn into a temporary bar, I've got a tight kitchen but that could work for me. Thanks.

The brackets I have there that you see do actually slide on. I used a metal fixing, you can't see it. The idea was to have no visible fixings. Its called an interlocking flushmount fitting.

I like the look, I like the design, it looks really well made but to me it just does not go with that kitchen.

I suppose it is just a matter of taste.
