Having recently moved abroad and not being one to throw anything away unnecessarily I now have a drawer full of used UK electrical plugs which I can't imagine I will ever need again.
I was thinking of cutting them down and adding them to small wooden pieces for decoration, has anyone done this?

I have a large box full as well, would be interested to see what you do with yours

Sorry to say I threw a large box away some time ago. BUT it may well be useful to save a few bits of the big brass contacts (especially the earth pins) as I've found the odd bits in my scrap metals box comes in useful sometimes, AND, according to where you are now, some of the little brass screws may be worth saving too (to my surprise, for me they fit perfectly in Swiss plugs). So useful if you loose one.
