Greetings
I have 700mm high cupboard door that has a slight bow along its length. Is there any (easy??) way of straightening this out? It is of rail and stile construction and the timber is 100mmx 19mm ash.
Cheers all

My knowledge is pretty small, but I don't think you can take a bend out of hardwood unless it's put under some form of steam/pressure or maybe running it through a P/T to take the bow out..

maybe someone more experienced than I will have a solution.

Banjo,

If the bow is along the stile, you can sometimes straighten it by adding a third hinge, effectively forcing it straight. Alternatively, if you use Euro style hinges, you can adjust the hinges to minimise the visual effects of the bow. i.e. adjust the hinges to make the top and bottom corners lie flat against the cabinet.
